Warm Wood, Bright Stone: A Master Bath Vanity in Pompeii Quartz

Tile & Stone of Italy • October 15, 2026

There is a quiet confidence in a bath that lets one bright surface do the work. In this master bath, White Mountain Pompeii Quartz runs the full length of a two-sink vanity, and the result feels calm, clean, and settled.

The trend: warm wood meets bright white stone

For years, cool gray was the default answer for a bath. The conversation has shifted. Designers are pairing richly stained wood cabinetry with a crisp, light stone top, and warm earth tones are taking the place of cool gray. The appeal is easy to see: the wood brings depth and warmth, and a bright white quartz keeps the whole room luminous. This vanity is a good example of that balance.

The full vanity run

The scope here covers the vanity top with backsplash, a makeup top, and the jambs, curbs, and sills, all in White Mountain Pompeii Quartz. In the wide view, the pale top wraps the corner in one continuous sweep of light against deep, dark cabinetry. Two sinks sit in under-mount cutouts, which keeps the surface clear and easy to wipe.

The L-shaped corner

Closer in, the corner turns in a clean L, with the backsplash running along the wall behind. The white is soft and even, with only a whisper of movement, so it never competes with the cabinetry beneath it.

The sink run

Along the sink run, faint veining drifts across the quartz, adding a little quiet character. The edge is eased, a softly softened profile that suits the traditional cabinet doors and keeps the look timeless rather than trendy.

The makeup top

Beside the sink, a dedicated makeup top gives the room a place to sit and get ready. It is the same stone with its own backsplash, so the zone feels planned as part of the whole rather than added on.

The details that make it work

  • Two stone thicknesses. The job calls for 3cm and 2cm White Mountain Pompeii Quartz, matched to each part of the room.
  • Mitered lamination. The edge is built up with a mitered lamination, finished with an eased profile.
  • The whole room carries through. Jambs, curbs, and sills in the same quartz tie the vanity to the rest of the bath.
  • Under-mount sinks. Two under-mount cutouts keep the top uninterrupted and simple to maintain.
